y grandmother's kitchen was "bespoke"; made by request to her personal taste. This is our favorite way to work - matching pieces to people in the same way we match the colors and textures of our woods, with joins so tight they'll last several lifetimes.
his aquarium stand is a perfect example of a "bespoke" piece. Designed to match the existing decor of the house, the tank holds 180 gallons of seawater. That's over 2000 pounds, not including decorative gravel and structures, filtration and support devices or fish! As you can see, the beauty of our fine woodworking is matched only by its strength.
The finished stand is six feet long, just over three feet high, and slightly more than two feet deep. In order for it to blend seamlessly with its surroundings, custom moldings had to be manufactured for both the top edge and the doors of the stand. We welcomed the opportunity to create this elegant yet functional, one-of-a-kind piece.
on't be intimidated by the size of this project. Not everything that we do takes up an entire wall (actually, this piece practically IS an entire wall). We love to work on smaller pieces as well. If you have something in mind, we'd enjoy discussing it with you and, when we're sure we understand what you're looking for, we'll provide you with a firm price quote before beginning the work.
